One of my favourite local makers recently is Alayna Hryclik aka the creative genius behind Soft Flirt who makes all sorts of apparel, home goods, and does incredible illustrations and even murals. If you’ve frequented the Western Fair Farmer’s market over the years perhaps you’ve seen some of her stuff!

I love the creative designs especially the ones with a local flair! It’s hard to pick favourites but my “Forest City Sweetheart” crewneck is in heavy rotation as is my “forest city forever” t-shirt. (It's like a "starter pack" for living in London and I always get lots of comments on it!)

You can see the love and care that goes into everything from the design, creation, screen-printing, even website design and social media.

ree — The Lost Loves of London - Black Tshirt

At the top of my current wish-list is their “lost loves of London” design. (and, for the record, despite the recent attempt at a food truck, the Zellers diner is still dead and deeply missed #gunnbutnotforgotten)

I have had this particular design in my cart at least 10 times but I cannot decide if I want it on a t-shirt or crewneck or both. (If you have any suggestion for me on this, please let me know!)

If you know me well you’ve probably also seen me out and about in my “no thank you” T-shirt which gives me all the David Rose vibes, a gym staple for sure! Saves me having to say it out loud every 5 minutes.

There are so many reasons I love this business, in addition to the beautiful and creative designs and high quality, it’s also size inclusive, the creator is a lovely human and I find the prices very reasonable!
